New York City drag icon Lady Bunny returns to Boston with her no-holds-barred comedy and cabaret show, Lady Bunny: Don’t Bring the Kids! Produced by Voss Events, the tour lands at City Winery on December 9 at 7:30 PM. Known for her razor-sharp wit, outlandish humor, and towering wigs, Lady Bunny promises an evening of unfiltered laughs, irreverence, and a touch of chaos.

As the title suggests, Don’t Bring the Kids! is not a family-friendly affair. “I developed my act in front of late-night audiences who ate up twisted humor,” Bunny explains. “Children were never permitted in nightclubs, so performing for them never came up until recently.” She ensures her ticket links include warnings for adults-only content. “Still, conservatives call me a groomer. Have they seen my wigs? I can barely groom myself!”

The show is packed with fresh material. Lady Bunny skewers everything from hot topics like Ozempic and P. Diddy to the state of drag in her biting parodies. Gaga’s "Born This Way" gets a hilariously queer rewrite as "Born This Gay", and Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s "Murder on the Dance Floor" morphs into "Ru Struggles on the Dance Floor". She even pokes fun at herself with “the world’s worst Cher impersonation,” joking, “I always wanted to be Cher, but I ended up looking like Chaz Bono instead.”

Bunny’s political humor also makes a cameo, with a song about Joe Biden and a number inspired by drag queen story hours. But she’s mindful not to overdo the politics, saying, “People need a break from Washington!”

Critics have already raved about Don’t Bring the Kids! The New York Times declared it “will have audiences weeping with laughter while groaning in disgust,” while the New York Post crowned her “New York’s funniest drag queen.”

Whether it’s her outrageous humor, signature high-energy dance numbers, or larger-than-life wigs, Lady Bunny’s new show is guaranteed to leave audiences laughing, gasping, and maybe even questioning their fashion choices.
